In celebration of Converse's 100th year anniversary, Japanese designer, musician, and trendsetter Hiroshi Fujiwara was asked to design a limited editon Chuck Taylor. Hiroshi is one of the most influential tastemakers in the street-luxury fashion scene. His own brand FRAGMENT is an exclusive label which has collaborated with staple brands such as Levis, Moncler, Nike, and now Converse. Mark your calendar on September 29, 2007, this exclusive sneaker will be dropped at ATMOS NYC. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONVERSE!

Now that it's been discovered that Hiroshi can't ride fixed, I'm wondering what else Hiroshi can't do. Can he make me wear Converse Chuck Taylors? Apparently he can! For all the years I've been a sneakerhead, I have never owned the ultra-classic Converse Chuck Taylor. It was just never my thing. But since I got a pair of the new HF x Cons, I donned a pair for the first time in my life today. They look pretty good on. Comfort-wise they could definitely be better. I'm not really anyone particularly special. I'm just a regular guy. And if HF was able to put me onto this shoe, it now greatly increases my chances of maybe buying another one day. Multiply this effect by all the other people who might buy this shoe and you have a lot of converts on your hand. A good move by Converse...Another notch to add to HF's accomplishments...I must say there is impressive power in that.
